for an Innovator visa if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you want to set up or run a business in the UK<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re from outside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/eu-eea\">European Economic Area (EEA)<\/a> and Switzerland<\/li>\n<li>you meet the other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/eligibility\">eligibility requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<li>your business or business idea has been endorsed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/endorsing-bodies-innovator\">an approved body<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You must have at least \u00a350,000 in investment funds if you want to set up a new business. You do not need funds if your business is already established and has been endorsed for an earlier visa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"getting-endorsed\">Getting endorsed<\/h2>\n<p>You must be able to show that your business idea is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a new idea &#8211; you cannot join or invest in a business that is already trading<\/li>\n<li>viable, with potential for growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/endorsing-bodies-innovator\">endorsing bodies list<\/a> &#8211; you should only approach ones that are suitable for your business idea.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-long-it-takes-to-get-a-visa\">How long it takes to get a visa<\/h2>\n<p>The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example\">\n<p>Example You can apply from 16 March if you plan to travel on 15 June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>You should get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>You can check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/visa-processing-times\">guide processing times<\/a> to find out how long getting a visa might take in your country.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"fees\">Fees<\/h2>\n<p>How much you pay for an Innovator visa depends on your situation and where you apply from.<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Who you\u2019re applying for<\/th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Apply (outside the UK)<\/th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Extend or switch (in the UK)<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>You<\/td>\n<td>\u00a31,021<\/td>\n<td>\u00a31,277<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>You (if you\u2019re from Turkey or Macedonia)<\/td>\n<td>\u00a3966<\/td>\n<td>\u00a31,222<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>All dependants<\/td>\n<td>\u00a31,021 each person<\/td>\n<td>\u00a31,277 each person<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3 id=\"healthcare-surcharge\">Healthcare surcharge<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019ll also have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/healthcare-immigration-application\/pay\">to pay the healthcare surcharge<\/a> as part of your application. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration-health-surcharge.service.gov.uk\/checker\/type\" rel=\"external\">Check how much you\u2019ll have to pay<\/a> before you apply.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"if-youre-applying-to-extend-or-switch-in-the-uk\">If you\u2019re applying to extend or switch in the UK<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to pay \u00a319.20 to have your biometric information (fingerprints and a photo) taken.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-long-you-can-stay\">How long you can stay<\/h2>\n<p>You can stay for 3 years if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>come to the UK on an Innovator visa<\/li>\n<li>switch to this visa from another visa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/extend-your-visa\">apply to extend<\/a> for another 3 years when your visa is due to expire. There\u2019s no limit on the number of times you can extend.<\/p>\n<p>You may be able to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/settle-in-the-uk\">apply for settlement<\/a> (known as \u2018indefinite leave to remain\u2019) once you\u2019ve been in the UK for 5 years.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"if-your-endorsement-is-withdrawn\">If your endorsement is withdrawn<\/h3>\n<p>Your visa may be cut short if your endorsement is withdrawn. If you want to stay longer, you must re-apply with a new endorsement before your current visa expires.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-you-can-and-cannot-do\">What you can and cannot do<\/h2>\n<p>You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>set up a business or several businesses<\/li>\n<li>work for your business &#8211; this includes being employed as a director, or self-employed as a member of a business partnership<\/li>\n<li>bring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/family-members\">family members<\/a> with you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You cannot:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>do any work outside your business, for example work where you\u2019re employed by another business<\/li>\n<li>work as a doctor or dentist in training<\/li>\n<li>work as a professional sportsperson, for example a sports coach<\/li>\n<li>get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/public-funds--2\">public funds<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Eligibility<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Before you apply you need to have your business or business idea assessed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/endorsing-bodies-innovator\">an approved body<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They will provide you with an endorsement letter if your business is viable.<\/p>\n<p>You must also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/knowledge-of-english\">English language requirement<\/a><\/li>\n<li>be at least 18 years old<\/li>\n<li>be able to prove that you have enough personal savings to support yourself while you\u2019re in the UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/immigration-rules\/immigration-rules-appendix-w-immigration-rules-for-workers#part-w6-specific-requirements--innovator\">specific requirements for the Innovator visa<\/a> before you apply.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"if-you-want-to-set-up-a-new-business\">If you want to set up a new business<\/h2>\n<p>You must have at least \u00a350,000 in investment funds to apply for an Innovator visa if you want to set up a new business.<\/p>\n<p>Your funding can come from any source.<\/p>\n<p>You do not need any investment funds if your business is already established and has been endorsed for an earlier visa.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"supporting-yourself\">Supporting yourself<\/h2>\n<p>You need to have had at least \u00a3945 in your bank account for 90 consecutive days before you apply.<\/p>\n<p>You cannot use either of the following to support yourself:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>money from your investment funds<\/li>\n<li>money earned while working in the UK illegally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"sharing-investment-funds\">Sharing investment funds<\/h2>\n<p>You can form a team with other Innovator applicants, but you cannot share the same investment funds.<\/p>\n<p>Your team must have \u00a350,000 for each Innovator applicant. For example, if you have 2 Innovator applicants, your team must have \u00a3100,000 to invest.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Knowledge of English<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>You may need to prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply.<\/p>\n<p>You can prove your knowledge of English by either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>passing an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-on-applying-for-uk-visa-approved-english-language-tests\">approved English language test<\/a> with at least CEFR level B2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening<\/li>\n<li>having an academic qualification that was taught in English and is recognised by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naric.org.uk\/visasandnationality\" rel=\"external\">UK NARIC<\/a> as being equivalent to a UK bachelor\u2019s degree, master\u2019s degree or PhD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You do not need to prove your knowledge of English if you\u2019ve already proved it to be level B2 or above in an earlier successful application.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"exceptions\">Exceptions<\/h2>\n<p>You will not need to prove your knowledge of English if you\u2019re a national of one of the following countries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Antigua and Barbuda<\/li>\n<li>Australia<\/li>\n<li>the Bahamas<\/li>\n<li>Barbados<\/li>\n<li>Belize<\/li>\n<li>Canada<\/li>\n<li>Dominica<\/li>\n<li>Grenada<\/li>\n<li>Guyana<\/li>\n<li>Jamaica<\/li>\n<li>New Zealand<\/li>\n<li>St Kitts and Nevis<\/li>\n<li>St Lucia<\/li>\n<li>St Vincent and the Grenadines<\/li>\n<li>Trinidad and Tobago<\/li>\n<li>USA<br \/>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Documents you must provide<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>When you apply you need to provide an \u2018endorsement letter\u2019 to show that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/endorsing-bodies-innovator\">an approved body<\/a> has assessed your business or business idea.<\/p>\n<p>You also need to provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a current passport or other valid travel identification<\/li>\n<li>bank statements showing you\u2019ve had at least \u00a3945 in savings in your bank account for 90 consecutive days before you apply<\/li>\n<li>proof that you meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/knowledge-of-english\">English language requirement<\/a><\/li>\n<li>evidence of your investment funds (if you\u2019re setting up a new business)<\/li>\n<li>your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tb-test-visa\">tuberculosis test results<\/a> if you\u2019re from a country where you have to take the test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You need a blank page in your passport for your visa.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/certifying-a-document\">a certified translation<\/a> of any documents that are not in English or Welsh.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You may need to provide additional documents depending on your circumstances.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Apply<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>You must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/apply-visa-type\/start-up-and-innovator\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a> for an Innovator visa.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph taken at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-a-visa-application-centre\">visa application centre<\/a> (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of your application.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll have to collect your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\/collect\">biometric residence permit<\/a> within 10 days of when you said you\u2019d arrive in the UK (even if you actually arrive at a later date).<\/p>\n<p>You may be able to get your visa faster or other services depending on what country you\u2019re in &#8211; check with your visa application centre.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"applying-from-north-korea\">Applying from North Korea<\/h3>\n<p>You cannot apply online if you\u2019re living in North Korea.<\/p>\n<p>To apply from North Korea you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/application-form-for-uk-visa-to-work-study-and-for-dependants-and-right-of-abode-form-vaf2\">application form and guidance<\/a> &#8211; read the guidance if you need help filling in the form<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/democratic-peoples-republic-of-korea-apply-for-a-uk-visa\">read the instructions<\/a> to find out where to take your completed form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"apply-to-extend-or-switch-to-this-visa\">Apply to extend or switch to this visa<\/h2>\n<p>Check if you can apply to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/extend-your-visa\">extend<\/a> your existing Innovator visa<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/switch-to-this-visa\">switch<\/a> to this visa from another visa<br \/>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Switch to this visa<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>You may be able to switch to an Innovator visa.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You should apply before your current visa expires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>You can apply to switch to this visa if you meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/innovator-visa\/eligibility\">eligibility requirements<\/a> and you\u2019re already in the UK on one of the following visas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start-up visa<\/li>\n<li>Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur)<\/li>\n<li>Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)<\/li>\n<li>any Tier 2 visa<\/li>\n<li>Standard Visitor visa &#8211; if you came to the UK to get funding and had a supporting letter from an endorsing body<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You must leave the UK and make your application from abroad if you\u2019re here on a different type of visa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"how-long-you-can-stay\">How long you can stay<\/h2>\n<p>You can stay for 3 years after switching to an Innovator visa.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no limit on the number of times you can extend your visa.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-to-apply-to-switch-your-visa\">How to apply to switch your visa<\/h2>\n<p>You must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/product\/start-up-and-innovator-ic\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"providing-biometric-information-and-supporting-documents\">Providing biometric information and supporting documents<\/h3>\n<p>When you apply, you\u2019ll be asked to make an appointment at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/ukvcas\">UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (<abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr>)<\/a> service point to provide your biometric information (your fingerprints and a photo).<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also need to submit your supporting documents. You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>upload them into the online service<\/li>\n<li>have them scanned at your <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You must not travel outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man until you get a decision. This could be because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your supporting documents need to be verified<\/li>\n<li>you need to attend an interview<\/li>\n<li>of your personal circumstances, for example you have a criminal conviction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Once you\u2019ve applied you can stay in the UK until you\u2019ve been given a decision, as long as you applied before your last visa expired.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Family members<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Your family members (\u2018dependants\u2019) can come with you when you come to the UK on this visa. Your family members must have a visa if they\u2019re from outside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/eu-eea\">European Economic Area (<abbr title=\"European Economic Area\">EEA<\/abbr>)<\/a> or Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>A \u2018dependant\u2019 is any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your partner<\/li>\n<li>your child under 18<\/li>\n<li>your child over 18 if they\u2019re currently in the UK as a dependant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-for-dependants-of-uk-visa-applicants-tiers-1-2-4-5\">guidance on dependant applications<\/a> before you apply.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Adult family members must provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/criminal-records-checks-for-overseas-applicants\">criminal record certificate<\/a> from any country they have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"savings\">Savings<\/h2>\n<p>You must have \u00a3630 for each dependant in addition to the \u00a3945 you need to support yourself. This is to show that your dependants can be supported while they\u2019re in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>You need proof you have the money, and that it\u2019s been in your bank account or your dependant\u2019s bank account for at least 90 days before you or they apply.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example\">\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong> You must have \u00a32,205 if you want to bring your partner and 1 child with you to the UK: \u00a3945 to support yourself + \u00a3630 for your partner + \u00a3630 for your child.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"dependants-applying-outside-the-uk\">Dependants applying outside the UK<\/h2>\n<p>Your family members must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/apply-visa-type\/dependant\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll need to have their fingerprints and photograph taken at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-a-visa-application-centre\">visa application centre<\/a> (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of their application.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll have to collect their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\/collect\">biometric residence permit<\/a> within 10 days of when they said they\u2019d arrive in the UK (even if they actually arrive at a later date).<\/p>\n<p>They may be able to get their visa faster or other services depending on what country they\u2019re in &#8211; check with the visa application centre.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>If your child is over 18 they cannot apply if they are outside the UK. They can apply from inside the UK if they are already here as your dependant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"applying-from-north-korea\">Applying from North Korea<\/h3>\n<p>Your family members cannot apply online if they\u2019re applying from North Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Each family member will need to make their own application. They must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/application-form-for-uk-visa-to-work-study-and-for-dependants-and-right-of-abode-form-vaf2\">application form and guidance<\/a> &#8211; they can read the guidance if they need help filling in the form<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/democratic-peoples-republic-of-korea-apply-for-a-uk-visa\">read the instructions<\/a> to find out where they need to take their completed form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"dependants-applying-in-the-uk-on-their-own\">Dependants applying in the UK on their own<\/h2>\n<p>Your dependants can apply to extend or switch their visas to stay with you if they\u2019re already in the UK. Dependants must either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/product\/pbs-dependant-partner\" rel=\"external\">apply online as a dependent partner<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/product\/pbs-dependant-child\" rel=\"external\">apply online as a dependent child<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Family members cannot apply in the UK as your dependant if they hold a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/browse\/visas-immigration\/visit-visas\">visitor visa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"providing-biometric-information-and-supporting-documents\">Providing biometric information and supporting documents<\/h3>\n<p>When they apply, they\u2019ll be asked to make an appointment at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/ukvcas\">UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (<abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr>)<\/a> service point to provide their biometric information (their fingerprints and a photo).<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll also need to submit their supporting documents. They can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>upload them into the online service<\/li>\n<li>have them scanned at their <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>They must not travel outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man until they get a decision. Their application will be withdrawn if they do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"how-long-it-takes-to-get-a-decision\">How long it takes to get a decision<\/h3>\n<p>A decision will be made within 8 weeks of their application date if they use the standard service.<\/p>\n<p>If they pay an extra \u00a3800 to use the super priority service a decision will be made:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>by the end of the next working day after their <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment if their appointment is on a weekday<\/li>\n<li>2 working days after their <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment if their appointment is at the weekend<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Working days are Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll be contacted if their application is complex and will take longer, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if their supporting documents need to be verified<\/li>\n<li>if they need to attend an interview<\/li>\n<li>because of their personal circumstances (for example if they have a criminal conviction)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" Your family members must have a visa if they\u2019re from outside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/eu-eea\">European Economic Area (<abbr title=\"European Economic Area\">EEA<\/abbr>)<\/a> or Switzerland.<\/p><p>A \u2018dependant\u2019 is any of the following:<\/p><ul><li>your partner<\/li><li>your child under 18<\/li><li>your child over 18 if they\u2019re currently in the UK as a dependant<\/li><\/ul><p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-for-dependants-of-uk-visa-applicants-tiers-1-2-4-5\">guidance on dependant applications<\/a> before you apply.<\/p><div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\"><p>Adult family members must provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/criminal-records-checks-for-overseas-applicants\">criminal record certificate<\/a> from any country they have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years.<\/p><\/div><h2 id=\"savings\">Savings<\/h2><p>You must have \u00a3630 for each dependant in addition to the \u00a3945 you need to support yourself. This is to show that your dependants can be supported while they\u2019re in the UK.<\/p><p>You need proof you have the money, and that it\u2019s been in your bank account or your dependant\u2019s bank account for at least 90 days before you or they apply.<\/p><div class=\"example\"><p><strong>Example<\/strong> You must have \u00a32,205 if you want to bring your partner and 1 child with you to the UK: \u00a3945 to support yourself + \u00a3630 for your partner + \u00a3630 for your child.<\/p><\/div><h2 id=\"dependants-applying-outside-the-uk\">Dependants applying outside the UK<\/h2><p>Your family members must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/apply-visa-type\/dependant\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a>.<\/p><p>They\u2019ll need to have their fingerprints and photograph taken at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-a-visa-application-centre\">visa application centre<\/a> (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of their application.<\/p><p>They\u2019ll have to collect their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\/collect\">biometric residence permit<\/a> within 10 days of when they said they\u2019d arrive in the UK (even if they actually arrive at a later date).<\/p><p>They may be able to get their visa faster or other services depending on what country they\u2019re in - check with the visa application centre.<\/p><div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\"><p>If your child is over 18 they cannot apply if they are outside the UK. They can apply from inside the UK if they are already here as your dependant.<\/p><\/div><h3 id=\"applying-from-north-korea\">Applying from North Korea<\/h3><p>Your family members cannot apply online if they\u2019re applying from North Korea.<\/p><p>Each family member will need to make their own application.
