It is not a certificate or paper document.<\/p>\n<p>Your sponsor will give you the certificate of sponsorship.<\/p>\n<p>Your sponsor must also give you the information they used on your certificate about your job, for example your working hours.<\/p>\n<p>Your sponsor must be recognised by the UK government to issue certificates of sponsorship.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Your certificate of sponsorship is valid for 3 months from the date it is assigned to you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"multiple-entry\">Multiple entry<\/h2>\n<p>Your sponsor can give you a multiple entry certificate of sponsorship so you can leave and return to the UK.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Documents you must provide<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>When you apply you\u2019ll need to provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a current passport or other valid travel identification<\/li>\n<li>bank statements showing you\u2019ve had at least \u00a3945 in savings continuously for 90 days before you apply &#8211; this is to prove you can support yourself and you must have had this in your bank account for 90 days before you apply<\/li>\n<li>your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tb-test-visa\">tuberculosis (<abbr title=\"tuberculosis\">TB<\/abbr>) test results<\/a> if you\u2019re from a country where you have to take the test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You need a blank page in your passport for your visa.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You will not need \u00a3945 in savings if your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers\">fully approved (\u2018A-rated\u2019)<\/a> sponsor has stated on your certificate of sponsorship that they\u2019ll certify your maintenance and that you will not claim benefits during your stay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/certifying-a-document\">a certified translation<\/a> of any documents that are not in English or Welsh.<\/p>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-on-application-for-uk-visa-under-tier-5-temporary-worker\">guidance on documents you can provide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>You may need to provide additional documents depending on your circumstances.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Apply<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-on-application-for-uk-visa-under-tier-5-temporary-worker\">full guidance<\/a> before you apply.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"apply-outside-the-uk\">Apply outside the UK<\/h2>\n<p>You must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/apply-visa-type\/tier5\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a> for this visa.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph taken at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-a-visa-application-centre\">visa application centre<\/a> (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of your application.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll have to collect your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\/collect\">biometric residence permit<\/a> within 10 days of when you said you\u2019d arrive in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>You may be able to get your visa faster or other services depending on what country you\u2019re in &#8211; check with your visa application centre.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"north-korea\">North Korea<\/h3>\n<p>You cannot apply online if you\u2019re living in North Korea.<\/p>\n<p>To apply from North Korea you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/application-form-for-uk-visa-to-work-study-and-for-dependants-and-right-of-abode-form-vaf2\">application form and guidance<\/a> &#8211; read the guidance if you need help filling in the form<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/democratic-peoples-republic-of-korea-apply-for-a-uk-visa\">read the instructions<\/a> to find out where to take your completed form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"apply-in-the-uk\">Apply in the UK<\/h2>\n<p>You can only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tier-5-temporary-worker-charity-worker-visa\/extend-your-visa\">extend<\/a> your existing visa if you\u2019re already in the UK.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Extend your visa<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>You can apply to extend your Tier 5 (Temporary worker &#8211; including children who have turned 18 during your stay.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"providing-biometric-information-and-supporting-documents\">Providing biometric information and supporting documents<\/h3>\n<p>When you apply, you\u2019ll be asked to make an appointment at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/ukvcas\">UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (<abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr>)<\/a> service point to provide your biometric information (your fingerprints and a photo).<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also need to submit your supporting documents. Your application will be withdrawn if you do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"how-long-it-takes\">How long it takes<\/h2>\n<p>A decision will be made within 8 weeks of your application date if you use the standard service.<\/p>\n<p>If you use the super priority service a decision will be made:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>by the end of the next working day after your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/ukvcas\"><abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr><\/a> appointment if your appointment is on a weekday<\/li>\n<li>2 working days after your <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment if your appointment is at the weekend<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Working days are Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be contacted if your application is complex and will take longer, for example because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your supporting documents need to be verified<\/li>\n<li>you need to attend an interview<\/li>\n<li>of your personal circumstances (for example if you have a criminal conviction)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\">\n<p>Once you\u2019ve applied you can stay in the UK until you\u2019ve been given a decision, as long as you applied before your last visa expired.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"part-title\">Family members<\/h1>\n<div class=\"gem-c-govspeak govuk-govspeak direction-ltr disable-youtube\" data-module=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Your family members (\u2018dependants\u2019) must apply to join or remain with you in the UK if they\u2019re from outside the European Economic Area (<abbr title=\"European Economic Area\">EEA<\/abbr>) and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>A \u2018dependant\u2019 is any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your partner<\/li>\n<li>your child under 18<\/li>\n<li>your child over 18 if they\u2019re currently in the UK as a dependant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They must complete their visa application by 5 July if they\u2019ve already paid the healthcare surcharge or they might have to pay it twice. They\u2019ll get a refund for their first payment.<\/p>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/guidance-for-dependants-of-uk-visa-applicants-tiers-1-2-4-5\">guidance on dependant applications<\/a> before you apply.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"savings\">Savings<\/h2>\n<p>You must show that your dependants can be supported while they\u2019re in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Each dependant must have \u00a3630 available to them whether they apply with you or separately. This is in addition to the \u00a3945 you must have to support yourself.<\/p>\n<p>You must have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tier-5-temporary-worker-charity-worker-visa\/documents-you-must-provide\">proof<\/a> you have the money, and that it\u2019s been in your bank account or your dependant\u2019s bank account for at least 90 days before you or they apply.<\/p>\n<div class=\"example\">\n<p>Example You must have \u00a32,205 if you want to bring your partner and 1 child with you to the UK (\u00a3945 to support yourself + \u00a3630 for your partner + \u00a3630 for your child).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"fees\">Fees<\/h2>\n<p>Check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tier-5-temporary-worker-charity-worker-visa\">fees for this visa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"dependants-applying-outside-the-uk\">Dependants applying outside the UK<\/h2>\n<p>Your family members must <a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/apply-visa-type\/dependant\" rel=\"external\">apply online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll need to have their fingerprints and photograph taken at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-a-visa-application-centre\">visa application centre<\/a> (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of their application.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll have to collect their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\/collect\">biometric residence permit<\/a> within 10 days of when they said they\u2019d arrive in the UK (even if they actually arrive at a later date).<\/p>\n<p>They may be able to get their visa faster or other services depending on what country they\u2019re in &#8211; check with the visa application centre.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"north-korea\">North Korea<\/h3>\n<p>Your family members cannot apply online if they\u2019re from North Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Each family member will need to make their own application. They must:<\/p><ul><li>download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/application-form-for-uk-visa-to-work-study-and-for-dependants-and-right-of-abode-form-vaf2\">application form and guidance<\/a> - they can read the guidance if they need help filling in the form<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/democratic-peoples-republic-of-korea-apply-for-a-uk-visa\">read the instructions<\/a> to find out where they need to take their completed form<\/li><\/ul><h2 id=\"dependants-applying-in-the-uk\">Dependants applying in the UK<\/h2><p>You can include dependants in your online application to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/tier-5-temporary-worker-charity-worker-visa\/extend-your-visa\">extend this visa<\/a> if they want to do it at the same time as you.<\/p><p>If they want to extend their visa at a different time, they must either:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/product\/pbs-dependant-partner\" rel=\"external\">apply online as your partner<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/visas-immigration.service.gov.uk\/product\/pbs-dependant-child\" rel=\"external\">apply online as your child<\/a><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\"><p>Family members cannot apply in the UK as your dependant if they hold a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/browse\/visas-immigration\/visit-visas\">visitor visa<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><h3 id=\"providing-biometric-information-and-supporting-documents\">Providing biometric information and supporting documents<\/h3><p>When they apply, they\u2019ll be asked to make an appointment at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/ukvcas\">UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (<abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr>)<\/a> service point to provide their biometric information (their fingerprints and a photo).<\/p><p>They\u2019ll also need to submit their supporting documents. They can:<\/p><ul><li>upload them into the online service<\/li><li>have them scanned at their <abbr title=\"UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services\">UKVCAS<\/abbr> appointment<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"application-notice info-notice\" role=\"note\" aria-label=\"Information\"><p>They must not travel outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man until they get a decision.
